Inclusion
Our Commitment to Inclusion
AIDA Queensland acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we operate, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and future, and acknowledge their continuing connection to these lands.
AIDA Queensland is an inclusive organisation that values and respects diversity. We are committed to cultural safety and inclusion for everyone involved with Irish dancing in Queensland, with a strong focus on children and young people. Every person, regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability or family background, has the right to dignity and respect.
We acknowledge the cultural traditions passed down through our Irish ancestry. Irish dance is one expression of that heritage - which has been handed down across generations, shaped by history and migration, and highlights the importance of music and movement in preserving our cultural identity.
