GRADE EXAMS

The grade examinations scheme provides a clear framework for dancers to set goals and build a solid foundation in Irish dance. Unlike competitions, each dancer is examined individually and receives a detailed written report on their performance and knowledge at the grade attempted. The scheme begins with an optional preliminary grade, followed by 12 progressive grades that increase in difficulty and expectations of skill, knowledge and ability. Completion of all 12 grades is required to apply for the TCRG examination from January 1 each year.

Next examination: TBC
